One shot for Consuelo

You have got to be kidding me! It was here just a second ago! I flipped through all the records for the fifth time just to make sure I hadn’t missed it. I hadn’t. Seriously? I’d taken on measly unimportant phone call from my Mum and it had cost me that record. It was fine, I mean I’d only been waiting for it for the past… FOREVER! “Excuse me.” I tried, unsuccessfully to get the attention of the man behind the front desk. He was caught up in the music inside his head. “EXCUSE ME!” I shouted, finally drawing his attentions. “Hmm, sorry? What can I help you with?” he turned to face me. “Hi, I was just wondering if you had any more copies of” but I cut off there when I heard the familiar lyrics. It was one of McFly’s newest songs. One of the songs that only true fans would have heard yet. I turned around to find the source of that beautiful melody, which hurt so much at this moment. There was a teenaged boy standing a few feet away which is back turned to me. He was singing along to the song in my head. The song I was so desperate to buy and had missed out on by a few minutes. The words sounded beautiful coming from this stranger’s mouth, almost as good at the original. But not quite. “Any more copies of what, love? I’m not a mind reader.” I ignored him and began approaching the boy with the toned back and beautiful voice. I pretended to be browsing at the records near the boy and saw he had what I was after. The last copy. My copy. “Hi.” I said confidently. He had still been humming, but now he looked at me and smiled. What lovely eyes you have. “I noticed your flawless taste in music.” I complemented, pointing at the record in his hands. “You love McFly too? I’m so lucky, this was the last copy.” He said with a grin. “I’m well aware of that fact Mr Gorgeous-Eyes-Perfect-Smile. “Yeah I noticed. I’m really bummed that I didn’t get it! Just a minute late too!” I put on a sad face. “Well did you want this one?” He offered. That was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. I nodded vigorously and was surprised my head didn’t fall off. “Tell you what, I’ll give it to you. On two conditions.” He said. Oh dear. Now I was worried. “What are your conditions?” I questioned. “First, you have to let me listen to it with you the first time.” “Fine, easy, done. And the second?” “I’m really hungry. I could go for a burger right now. Or maybe some pasta!” He told me. “As fascinating as it is to hear about your human needs, you still haven’t told me the second condition.” I pushed. “You have to eat dinner with me. So would you rather burgers or pasta?” He said casually. “Did you just ask me out on a date by bribing me with a record?” I checked. “Do you have a problem with that?” He raised one eyebrow. “Just one. I don’t know what your name is.” “Oh how rude of me! I’m Zayn.” He held a hand out for me. “Consuelo.” I told him. He smiled the cutest smile I had ever seen. “So do we have a deal?” He asked me. “Yeah, we have a deal.” I told him, trying to mask how excited I really was. He handed over my record and after I paid he opened the door of the store for me. “After you madam.” He gestured me out the door. I could see this turning into a one of the best days of my life.
